* PEGGY *
Peggy was at the vets surgery, awaiting euthanazia.
She had been dropped off by an old lady who was going into a home where she could not keep pets.  March '07
I happened to be at the vets surgery that day for
something to do with dogs.
There is nothing in our town in regards to a bird rescue.
So Peggy was dropped off for her ultimate end.
That is till I walked in the door, I am such a softy,
so of course she is home with me now.
Peggy is a totally different PBFD scenario.
She has been featherless for 4 years.
She has not been tested for the disease, but is showing all the symptoms, along with the vets personal opinion,
she is classed as having PBFD.
At this stage she is not going to be tested.
Hubby and I cannot go through the waiting game at this point in time.  Emotionally it is not good, for us nor for Peggy.

If for some reason her lack of feathers turns out to be a deficiency in diet of some kind she will be deleted from this site.
One can only hope that in a few months she is gone from here.
Blackness of beak and skin in color
The day after being dropped off at the vets.
Enjoying the sun on her skin for a brief  time without a sock buddy.
Note the change in skin color around the beak and eyes.
UPDATE:  Peggy is now going to be tested.
Her skin color is  getting lighter by the days
and she is growing in feathers.
Some are deformed, but otherwise she is healthy in herself.

Peggy tested Positive to PBFD

As of todays date 18/06/08 Peggy is still very healthy,
active and very much alive.

Miss Pegg's on movie being a phone.
She is the loud ring.
The quiet ringing is the actual phone.

Listen carefully, towards the end you can hear her saying..... "hello coky".
